Relationship Advice on My Anniversary

Relationship Advice on My Anniversary

A bit of advice on relationships, as I celebrate my Wedding Anniversary…

Give the other person the “best” of you, not the “rest” of you. We spend so much of our efforts being kind to everyone else yet often take the most important person for granted. 💗

Thank them. Really see them. “I appreciate you doing… “, “Thank you for…”, “I know you’re tired and yet you still…”

Do it all the time, for the everyday stuff. Because life is mostly ordinary Tuesdays. See how much of a positive difference it makes in your relationship.

Mention that you are proud of them and why. Share your feelings. Listen to understand, not to be right. 😊

Don’t argue with or embarrass your partner in front of others. No one deserves that. Not them, not you.

Take an effort to be interested in (some) of the things that are important to them and find mutual interests to share.

In-laws are added “bonuses” (or not so much). Make sure that your family treats your significant other with respect and kindness.

Make life meaningful and enjoyable. Find the humor. Have fun, even on the ordinary Tuesdays. ✨

There are always going to be challenges and obstacles and you have the option of determining the mindset and attitude with which you handle them. Don’t let them destroy you.

Make your relationship non-negotiable. Throughout all the ups and downs, ordinary Tuesdays, and pretty awesome stuff as well, this is where you want to be and whom you want to share your life with. 💗

❤️ Cindy
