Teachers, Listen Up...

💭Think CONTEXT. 👉 Let’s say you are applying or interviewing for a Learning and Development position training adults. Even better, a Director position (and yes, my #transitionedteacher clients have earned Director roles 🤩).

⭐️Your EXAMPLES demonstrating your ability to handle challenging situations CANNOT be all about discipline.

⭐️Outside of the walls of a school, you won’t ever deal with an individual vomiting on the floor (yes, I had a #transitioningteacher client that wanted to use that as an example), students standing on desks (another real example) or not being able to use the restroom (for sure a real example that you will NEVER need to deal with outside of the classroom). 😰

⭐️Choose actual stories and examples from your experience that PARALLEL the challenges you will face in the role you are aspiring to achieve. You have plenty of those as well, even though they aren’t the first ones that come to mind. 👏
