STOP Worrying About the ATS!!
đź‘€ What if you stopped worrying about the ATS, and instead, concentrated on writing a resume that makes sense for the job you are applying for? đź‘€
The job posting is your cheat sheet, telling you exactly what they are looking for in a candidate.
👏 Instead of stressing over which “key words” are “ATS friendly” know that will vary depending on which job you are applying to. That’s why targeting your resume is important.
If you are applying to a project manager position, and don’t mention projects, management, coordination, leadership, scope, timeline, budget, etc, and instead mention teaching students, ELA, IEPs, and discipline, while you have the skills and experience, you have not demonstrated that to the reader.
No one is reading between the lines. Make sure that your resume:
âś… Demonstrates that you have the exact skills the company is looking for
âś… Includes results, with numbers
✅ Showcases your unique accomplishments and doesn’t have you blend into the crowd
âś… Remove irrelevant information and jargon
