STOP Saying This Word!!

Finally, stop using the word “finally”‼️

Let’s face it, job seekers post on LinkedIn in an effort to increase engagement and ultimately get hired. When you use the word “finally” before an accomplishment, such as:

✨ I finally finished my portfolio

✨ I finally completed my degree

✨ I finally earned my certification

✨ I finally…anything that follows

You are, by definition, demonstrating less drive, initiative, and go-getter attitude.

Even if you (finally) finished your portfolio, and it took you months (or years) longer than originally anticipated, you still make a much stronger showing by saying:

I am proud to present my completed portfolio. 💪

👉 Now, suppose you endured incredible hardships that delayed you from completing your portfolio, and feel like you really did (finally) complete it…

Either keep that private information private, and proudly announce that you completed your portfolio…

Or make the journey part of your story, and proudly announce nothing stands in your way, and against obstacles and challenges, you are proud to present your completed portfolio. 🙌
