NEVER Forget This...

❌ It’s never “just” a conversation, only a “coffee chat” or merely an “introduction”.

🤝When you are introduced to someone at a company by a friend or connection, and they invite you to have a “conversation”, make no mistake, This Is An Interview.

📖 True story, a client of mine, with a 4 year gap on her resume, reached out to connections and was invited to a “dinner” with leadership of a company. She insisted it was “just a dinner”, but I told her it was an interview and that we should prepare. Good thing we did!

🍴The dinner lasted 4 hours, and she laughingly confirmed to me afterwards that it was indeed an interview. 😍The dinner interview led to a few more interviews at the same company, and an offer of a Program Management position, with a HUGE salary increase, and a career pivot! (Did you remember, this was also with a 4 year gap on her resume!) 👏
