Recovering After a Bad Interview...
You were nervous and totally blew the interview. 😢😢 Here’s what you can do next…
1️⃣ Be BOLD. Write an awesome email, mentioning all the things you wished you had said during the interview. You have nothing to lose!!
2️⃣ Be HONEST. Figure out why the interview went poorly. Were you unprepared, not know about the company, struggle with answering the questions, technology act up? This is tough, but owning it is the only way to do better in the future.
3️⃣ Start PRACTICING interviewing now. Even if you don’t have another interview. Practice out loud, which is harder than writing down your answers. Record yourself and listen to the recording to see where you need improvement.
💖 Remember, it’s only when we push ourselves outside of our comfort zone that we improve.
😊 Last thing, never say, “ I am bad at interviewing” even to yourself. Be careful of the stories that we tell ourselves. Negative self talk is damaging to our confidence and self esteem and “excuses” us from believing that we can do better.
