How to Get a Raise (& Maybe a Promotion Too)

❎ Keeping your head down and working hard will not get you recognized or promoted. You need to be your own best ADVOCATE!! 

👉If you are so good at solving problems and de-escalating situations, your boss might not realize how awesome you are, because you solved the problems before they knew they existed! (Yes, I’ve had many clients in this situation.)

⭐️ Keep track of processes you improved, went above and beyond, how you increased (the good stuff – profits, client retention, partnerships) and how you decreased (the bad stuff – complaints, losses, expenses). Use that data when asking for a raise or promotion. 🙌

⭐️ Forward complimentary emails you receive to your boss. You aren’t explicitly saying, “look at how great I am”, instead you are saying, “here’s a great email of appreciation from Client X, but the hidden message is: Client X is happy with me!

⭐️ Write weekly updates to your boss, so that they know the magnitude of responsibilities you are handling and your wins.
